William L. Clippard, (Bill), Chairman of the Board of Clippard InstrumentΒ Laboratory Inc., recently received the highly prestigious Stillman Robinson LifetimeΒ Achievement Award presented by the Department of Mechanical and AerospaceΒ Engineering of The Ohio State University for his commitment to the field of engineering.
The Stillman Robinson Lifetime Achievement Award honors retired or emeritus alumni whoΒ have distinguished themselves over their lifetimes by contributing to the advancement ofΒ their chosen profession. Robinson joined Ohio State in 1878, and was the founding chairperson of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He was also one of the foundersΒ of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and received an Honorary Doctorate ofΒ Science degree from Ohio State in 1896.
Bill is an accomplished individual, both professionally and personally. He hasΒ distinguished himself as an outstanding entrepreneur, innovator, teacher, and servant-leader.Β Since his graduation from OSU, Bill has applied his creative mind along with his engineeringΒ disciplines to design and create many unique products and manufacturing processes used inΒ a variety of industries throughout the world.
