Dew point probes are expensive and do not like liquid water and if the dew point monitor gets wet is has to be removed and re-calibrated. The manufactures of dryers equate this temperature as dew point not taking into consideration if the drain valve is working or if the pre-cooler/re-heater is functioning properly.
