JEC Pumps () has announced that its ΊΪΑΟ³ΤΉΟ Pinch Valve range features center pinch action, with pneumatic cylinder type actuators operating the pinch bars. Offered in automatic, regulating control or simple on-off type, the PPV are specifically designed for use in harsh slurry, highly abrasive flow control applications.
Ensuring positive close shut-off, the flexible elastometer sleeves eliminate the need for gaskets while providing for easy leak tight installation among the process piper flanges. In addition, the simple open-close function pinch valve is mounted with solenoid valve and pneumatic actuator. Instead of using solenoid valve, the control pinch valve employs electro-pneumatic valve positioner. The pinch valves in the SAPV range are mounted by compatible smart positioner and equipped with a digital display.
Meanwhile, the companyβs DPV range of pinch valve can be operated both by manual hand wheel and pneumatically. These dual operated pinch valves are equipped with a normal hand wheel operation on one side and with pneumatic actuation on the other.
Aside from the actuation accessories, the pneumatic pinch valves features a smart position transmitter for easy operation from a remote location. Calibrating the special sensor switch with a pneumatic actuator allows the valve to be operated from a PLC station. Automatic Pinch valves are also offered with multi-turn motorized electrical actuators.
The pinch valveβs elastometer sleeve is made of a flexible rubber hose that are molded with special reinforcements for challenging applications.
